What will you find inside of a teacher’s heart?

You’ll find a heart filled with empathy-celebrating at a child’s success and crying when a child is hurt or sad…that’s a teacher’s heart!

You’ll find a heart filled with understanding-knowing that every child has a different life, a different moral compass, a different drive, different worries and different joys…that’s a teacher’s heart!

You’ll find a heart filled with joy-spending time with children every day, putting aside personal issues for the pure joy of watching children learn and achieve…that’s a teacher’s heart!

You’ll find a heart filled with gratitude-thankful for the chance to learn from the best of the best…the children!  Thankful for a classroom that has so much potential!  Thankful for children who challenge our knowledge and our beliefs…that’s a teacher’s heart!

You’ll find a heart filled with ideas-ways to make every day better for each child in the classroom and sharing those ideas with fellow teachers…that’s a teacher’s heart!

You’ll find a heart filled with “tools” for fixing-a hug, a kiss, a pat, a cuddle, a nudge…that’s a teacher’s heart!

You’ll find a heart filled with love-for the parents who share their children every day, for the children who love us just the way we are, for the people in our lives who listen to our crazy teaching ideas at 3 in the morning…that’s a teacher’s heart!

What’s inside your heart?
